Customer Satisfaction Highlighted as Key to Economic Progress

Accra: Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darko, Head of Civil Service, has emphasized the critical role of customer satisfaction in the delivery of quality services, citing its significant impact on the economy and national development. Speaking at the Client Service Focus Week organized by the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Aggrey-Darko stressed the importance of fostering relationships with clients based on mutual respect and satisfaction. According to Ghana News Agency, the event, themed 'Above and Beyond,' aimed to commemorate Global Client Service Week by highlighting the achievements of the energy sector and engaging stakeholders to promote quality service delivery. Dr. Aggrey-Darko underscored that customer satisfaction has become a necessity in the global economy, with studies indicating that 90 percent of customers would leave a company after a single poor experience, while 86 percent are willing to pay more for superior services. Dr. Aggrey-Darko also remarked on the Ministry of Energy's role in representing the governme nt and contributing to national development, urging staff to pursue excellence and cultivate mutual respect and satisfaction. He emphasized that addressing client needs is not merely a favor but a fundamental mandate to serve the public effectively through government policies and programs. Mr. Herbert Krapah, Minister of Energy, expressed his approval of the Ministry's dedication to the Client Service Focus Week, noting its significance in showcasing the Ministry's contributions to the economy and the nation. He highlighted the Ministry's pivotal role in the economy, particularly within the energy sector, stressing the importance of understanding their impact on Ghanaian citizens and customers.
