The water resources in Tunisian dams reached 1 billion 144 million cubic meters on February 15, 2022, i.e. a filling rate of about 49.5%, announced the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI).
The overall inflow of dams stood at 837 million cubic metres on February 14, up by about 261 million cubic metres compared to the same period in 2021, according to the data released by the observatory for February 2022.
The average rainfall quantities over the whole country, for the period from September 1, 2021 to February 14, 2022, totalled about 74 mm, accounting for 50% of the quantity recorded compared to the period from September 1, 2020 to February 14, 2021, with a deficit in most regions.
