A decree on the higher council of education and teaching is now being prepared by different parties, President Kais Saied said at a Cabinet meeting Thursday.

In a footage posted by the Presidency, Saied emphasised the importance of this decree.

He recalled that a society could only be immune with an education and teaching based on basic values, including justice and freedom.

Tunisia has successfully managed the COVID-19 pandemic in record time, which has allowed a reduction in preventive procedures, Saied added.

«The choice of Tunisia by the World Health Organisation among other countries to manufacture the coronavirus mRNA vaccine is a triumph for Tunisia,” the President of the Republic added.
