Deductions from wages of 13 absentee MPs to be applied (HPR)

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) decided to apply deductions from wages of some 13 MPs who had taken a leave of absence from several plenary session and committees’ meetings in January, February and March 2018.

The HPR published on its official website a list of these MPs.

Some MPs had taken leaves of absence from all plenary sessions and committees’ meetings held in February and March 2018, the same source added.

By virtue of the HPR’s rules of procedure MPs do not have the right to be absent without notice.
