Kumasi: The Deeper Life Campus Fellowship (DLCF) has officially launched its Annual National Campus Community Congress (ANCCC), setting the stage for a significant gathering aimed at fostering spiritual awakening and leadership qualities among the youth. Scheduled from October 17 to 20, 2024, the event will focus on themes such as salvation, holiness, healing, academic and professional excellence, and supernatural breakthroughs. The congress is expected to attract a diverse group of participants including university students, lecturers, campus workers, and national service personnel. According to Ghana News Agency, Pastor Francis Fosu, the National Campus Coordinator, during the launch, emphasized the urgent need to enlighten young intellectuals trapped in various negative influences through the power of Christ. He highlighted the historical roots of the Deeper Life Church, which began as a campus fellowship in Lagos, Nigeria in 1973 by Dr. William Kumuyi and has since expanded globally. Pastor Fosu remarked on the moral challenges within campuses, describing them as "citadels of all evil and moral decadence" that need to be targeted for transformation. The event's theme, "Awakening the Intellectual Giants for Holistic Excellence," reflects a deep desire to nurture young individuals into the image of Christ, not just academically but in all aspects of life. Pastor Fosu further explained that the congress would provide practical knowledge in business enterprises to foster economic independence and innovation among the youth. Additionally, it aims to instill strong moral values and integrity, preparing participants to tackle societal issues like illegal mining effectively. Professor Joseph Sarkodie-Addo, Regional Campus Coordinator for the Kumasi South Region, also spoke at the launch, underscoring that the congress's impact would extend beyond academic achievements. He envisioned a rekindled passion for Christ among young professionals, which he believes will lead to a lasting impact on the church and society. P rof. Sarkodie-Addo also called on the media to feature more Christian teachings to aid in societal transformation.
