National Defence Minister Imed Memmiche, on Friday, met with Pakistan’s Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, to examine ways to strengthen bilateral military cooperation, the Department said in a statement.

The minister stressed Tunisia’s willingness to boost military cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest, to exchange expertise and beef up the readiness of both armed forces.

Pakistani ambassador in Tunis Tahir Hussain Andrabi, who attended the meeting, affirmed his country’s willingness to encourage military cooperation in various fields of common interest.

The meeting was also attended by Chief of Staff of the National Navy Adel Jhèn.
