The Ministry of National Defence and national carrier Tunisair are ready to intervene to repatriate Tunisian nationals in Ukraine as soon as they have crossed the Romanian and Polish borders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The crisis unit in charge of monitoring the situation of the Tunisian community in Ukraine held on Saturday evening a virtual meeting chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othmane Jerandi, with representatives of the Ministry of National Defence and Tunisair about the preparations for the repatriation of Tunisians evacuated from Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will keep the families of the Tunisian nationals and the national public opinion informed of every development in this issue.
