The exchange rate of the dinar has depreciated against the euro by 3.6%, on average, over the first nine months of 2021, against an appreciation of 4.6% a year earlier.
Against the U.S. dollar, the dinar has continued to appreciate by 2.4%, after 4.5% over the first nine months of 2020,” said the BCT, in its note on economic and monetary developments and medium-term prospects, published Friday.
The BCT said, also, that “the exchange rate of the dinar depreciated moderately in September 2021, by 0.2% (month by month m/m) against the euro and 0.3% against the U.S. dollar, after an appreciation of 0.6% (m / m), against both currencies.
As of October 28, 2021, one euro is worth 3.294 dinars and a dollar is exchanged at 2.839 dinars.
