The prosecutor’s office at the Kasserine court of first instance, on Wednesday, issued a detention warrant against a suspect who helped Nessma TV owner and president of Qalb Tounes party Nabil Karoui and his brother MP Ghazi Karoui cross land borders irregularly in Kasserine to reach Algeria.
The suspect was arrested by National Guard units at his home in the border region of Bouderies, Kasserine on Monday.
A wanted notice was also issued against a second person, still at large, involved in this case, deputy public prosecutor at the Kasserine court of the first instance Chaouki Bouazzi told TAP on Wednesday.
Investigations and hearings are ongoing to determine all persons linked to the case of the escape of the Karoui brothers.
A detention warrant was issued on Tuesday by the prosecutor’s office of the aforementioned court against the Karoui brothers, who were arrested by the Algerian authorities and placed in custody on Sunday in Algeria.
