Draft elderly people code to be submitted soon for consideration (minister)

The Ministry of Women, Family and Children finalised the draft elderly people code which will be shortly submitted to a cabinet meeting then to the House of People’s Representatives.

The specification for the creation of elderly care centres was likewise drafted, Minister Naziha Laabidi also told reporters Friday on the fringes of the regional knowledge day in Monastir.

A number of articles in the Child Protection Code will be amended to be in line with the national multisectoral strategy for early childhood development (2017-2025); additionally, an action plan geared towards children without family support is in the pipeline, Laabidi also announced.
