Atebubu: Mr. Isaac Budu, the Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Director of Education in the Bono East Region, has called on teachers to continue serving as pivotal change agents within the schools and communities they serve. He emphasized the importance of being role models to students by adhering to professional ethics and incorporating innovative teaching practices.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Budu conveyed this message during the 2025 delegates’ conference of the Atebubu District branch of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), held at New-Konkrompe. The conference facilitated the election of new executives to guide the Association’s future endeavors and provided a platform for discussing solutions to the challenges faced by educators.
Mr. Budu acknowledged the efforts being made by the directorate to address the issues encountered by teachers in the region. He urged educators to intensify their efforts to enhance the academic performance of students. He also encouraged the conference attendees to focus on emerging issues and propose strategies that would advance the teaching profession and create a conducive academic environment.
Highlighting the vital role of the association in shaping the nation’s future, Mr. Budu praised its members for their dedication and commitment to national service. He assured them of the Directorate’s support in improving teachers’ conditions of service and welfare. Additionally, he reiterated the value that the Ghana Education Service places on its relationship with GNAT, advocating for continued collaboration to better teaching and learning outcomes.
