During this phone call, Madbouli congratulated Najla Bouden on the swearing in and office-taking of her government, wishing her every success in her duties.

According to a statement from the Prime Ministry, Bouden commended the “excellent” relations between Tunisia and Egypt at the official and popular levels.

She praised the support provided by the Egyptian government to Tunisia during its recent fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the two prime ministers stressed the common desire to contribute to the success of upcoming bilateral events, including in the first place, the Tunisian-Egyptian High Joint Commission meeting.
