Eight bodies were recovered on Friday night by coast guard units in Sfax after a boat carrying undocumented migrants sank, said the Interior Ministry. Forty-three African crossers were also rescued.

Moreover, coast guard units in La Goulette and Sfax arrested on Friday night 16 individuals who planned to cross borders illegally.
