Eight Tunisian universities in the World University Rankings 2022

Eight Tunisian public universities have been ranked in advanced positions in the new World University Rankings 2022, elaborated by the Times Higher Education (THE) organisation, which specialises in the ranking of universities in the world, according to several criteria.

 

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said in a statement issued Thursday that it is the University of Manouba, the University of Tunis el Manar, the University of Sfax, the University of Monastir, the University of Sousse, the University of Gabes, the University of Carthage and the University of Tunis.

 

The new Times Higher Education rankings, published on October 12, included 1,799 higher education institutions in 104 countries. Britain’s Oxford University was ranked first, followed by Harvard University in the United States in second place, Cambridge University in Britain and Stanford University in the United States in third place. The fourth place was cancelled while the University of Massachusetts in the US was ranked fifth.

 

The ministry praised Tunisian universities for their efforts in developing the higher education and scientific research system.
