Election offenses in polling stations will not impact ballot results (ISIE)

The voting offenses in polling stations will not impact the ballot results, said members of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Najla Braham and Adel Brinsi at a press conference held Sunday afternoon at the convention centre.

As for the polling stations where the voting operation started late (after 08.00 a.m.), it had been decided to shift the closing time after 06.00 p.m.

Regarding the calls made in some mosques to encourage voters to vote, the ISIE members indicated that these calls do not constitute an offense to the extent that there is no incentive or exhortation to vote for a particular party.

In addition, they specified that all reported offenses were written in reports on which justice will decide.
