Emefa Ayivor Honored as Ketu South’s Overall National Service Person

Ketu south: Ms. Sonia Emefa Ayivor has been recognized as the Overall Best National Service Person for 2023/24 during the inaugural Ketu South National Service Personnel Association (NaSPA) Dinner and Awards celebration. This accolade was presented to her in recognition of her exemplary service at Wudoaba Basic School. According to Ghana News Agency, Ms. Ayivor received various awards, including a ceiling fan, home theatre sound bass, a 32-inch LED TV set, a certificate, a citation, and a plaque. Prior to winning the top honor, Ayivor also claimed awards in three other categories: NSP Entrepreneur of the Year, Ideal Woman of the Year, and Most Popular NSP. She expressed her gratitude to the leadership of Ketu South NaSPA, her family, and friends, attributing her success to her dedication to duty and divine providence. Ayivor, an alumnus of the University of Education, Winneba, who also runs businesses in mobile money, cosmetics, and phone accessories, advised current national service personnel to work dili gently and foster good relationships with their peers. The awards event also honored other individuals for their contributions. Mr. Pius Ahiable was named Entertainment Personality of the Year, Ms. Emefa Kpelly received Female NSP Personality of the Year, and Mr. Richmond Ocloo was recognized as NSP Male Personality. Additional awards included NSP Advocate/Activist of the Year to Mr. Hope Kwasi Ahiabu, Outstanding Teaching NSP to Ms. Mavis Ablavi Mensah-Tay, and The Most Punctual NSP to Mr. Wisdom Yao Amegayi. Non-NaSPA members were also acknowledged for their contributions. Mr. Rustum Gameli Senorgbe, a referee in the Ghana Premier League, received a citation of honor for his advisory role, while media figures Mr. Sam Kush and Mr. Julius Atisu were commended for public service through their platforms. Traditional and civic leaders, including Torgbui Nyakeli Tortsofia VII and Mr. Israel Selikem Bossman, received citations for their leadership and community service. Mr. Charles Epiphany Ativor, President of Ketu South NaSPA, expressed gratitude to those who supported the association's initiatives, highlighting achievements such as the User Agency Tour, NaSPA Impact Initiative, and NHIS enrollment drives. He announced the production of 1,000 customized exercise books intended for distribution among exemplary students, with a special scholarship for the best 2024 BECE pupil in the municipality.
