Employment and vocational training indicators improve in 2022 (Ministry)

Indicators related to employment and vocational training improved in 2022 compared to 2021 at several levels. These include hiring higher education graduates, as well as career preparation contracts and overseas contracts, said the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training.

About 1% of higher education graduates were hired in 2022, or 5,684 graduates, while 112.3 thousand of them have benefited from career preparation contracts, with a 4.4% rate.

Recruitment through the Ministry’s employment services increased 25.2% in 2022, according to the same source.

Overseas job opportunities surged 210% in 2022 to 3,472, while overseas contracts reached 1,971, up 38.9%.

The number of beneficiaries of support mechanisms for small business promoters went up 28% to 8,260 last year.

On the other hand, the number of beneficiaries of the civil service programmes dropped 8.6% to settle at 12,000 in 2022.
