Energy trade balance deficit drops 9% in first 8 months of 2021

Energy trade balance deficit dropped 9% in the first 8 months of 2021 compared to the same period last year, shrinking to 3,135 million dinars (MD) from 3,426 MD (taking into account transited gas royalties).

Exportts of energy products saw their value grow 126%, it also emerges from a note on energy market conditions released Thursday by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines. This comes hand in hand with a higher value of imports (+21%).
