Exercise Patience, We’re Addressing All Placement Challenges – Dr Glover

Accra: Dr Belinda Glover, the Deputy National Coordinator for the Free Senior High School (FSHS), expressed optimism that the school placement resolution centre will address all challenges by Friday, October 17, 2025. This effort aims to ensure that all students can report to their assigned schools on the scheduled date of October 18, 2025.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Glover made this announcement while speaking to the media at the GNAT Hall in Accra. She urged parents and students to remain patient as the resolution system is effectively handling the issues. Her assurance came amid a growing number of parents and students who were dissatisfied with the school placements and sought changes.

With the official reporting date for form one students approaching, many parents were anxious that their children might not meet the deadline if their issues were not resolved swiftly. Dr Glover emphasized that the staff were working diligently to address all challenges. She highlighted that officials often stayed late into the night to resolve as many issues as possible, aiming to alleviate the concerns of parents and students.

Dr Glover further reassured the public that their needs would be addressed, mentioning that the Ghana Education Service has put measures in place to continue resolving complaints even after the official closing date. She encouraged those who couldn’t resolve their issues by the deadline to visit the Ministry of Education, FSHS Secretariat, or the GES for assistance. Additionally, she noted that regional resolution centres were also available.

Dr Glover provided insights into the centre’s daily operations, revealing that between 800 and 900 complaints were resolved each day, with most related to requests for school changes. She explained that while all students had been placed, dissatisfaction with the assigned schools was the primary concern being addressed.
