Nearly 2,000 people visited Friday the Tunisian stand in Expo 2020 Dubai.
Tunisia is participating as of October 1 in the exhibition which will run for 182 days, said Assistant Delegate General in charge of the Tunisian participation Mohamed Ikbal Khaldi.
Expo 2020 Dubai, which covers an area of 500 ha, reported the participation of 134 delegations from 95 countries.
Tunisia’s stand is divided into 4 areas. The first is a reception area dedicated to the exploration of tourist and historical sites. The second will serve for the shooting of a short film using advanced techniques to put the spotlight on different eras in Tunisia’s history.
The third was fitted out to present experiences and projects carried out by start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises in areas of culture, tourism, techonologies and innovation. The fourth space will put on sale a variety of innovative local products.
Tunisia’s Day will be held on January 4, 2022, in a bid to make the country more known, the official further said.
The Tunisian delegation will attend the Tunisia-UAE business meeting scheduled for January 5, 2022. The event is an opportunity to consolidate economic and trade partnership and boost Tunisia’s economic diplomacy.
