Faouzi Abderrahmane says preferred serving State over party

Minister of Vocational Training and Employment and leader in the Afek Tounes party, Faouzi Abderrahmane who has distanced himself from the political party led by Yacine Ibrahim, said, Saturday in Mahdia, he preferred serving the State over party work.

“I will speak soon about my political future but today I plan to continue my mission in the government,” he said.

Faouzi Abderrahmane accepted the request of Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, earlier this week, to continue his mission at the head of the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment, preferring to resign from the party Afek Tounes, after his party decided to withdraw from the government.

Speaking at the closing of the national conference of directors of vocational training centers, he said the government will reform the system of vocational training to adapt to the job market.

This reform aims to improve training and strengthen the capacity of centres.

“The vocational training sector has more than 400 centers, including 137 public centres, 60 under ministries and 200 private centres,” he said, noting that the annual number of graduates from these centres is estimated at 30 thousand, “easily integrated into the job market”.
