Accra: Mr Samuel Appiah-Danquah, a member of The Maker's House Chapel International (TMHCI), highlighted the essential role fathers play as role models in their children's lives. Speaking at a Father's Day event at the TMHCI auditorium, he quoted Proverbs 20:7 to emphasize the importance of fathers living with integrity to instill positive values in their children.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Appiah-Danquah described fatherhood as a profound responsibility bestowed by God, urging fathers to seek wisdom through prayer and study of the Word. He emphasized that a father's actions and decisions significantly influence their children, making intentional parenting crucial for leaving a lasting legacy.
Mr. Appiah-Danquah stressed the necessity of active involvement in children's lives, both in ordinary and special moments, to ensure they feel loved and cared for. He highlighted the importance of discipline stemming from love rather than anger, cautioning against harsh measures that may hinder children's growth and learning.
He encouraged fathers to understand their children to foster cooperation at home, noting that spiritual leadership through prayer and family devotions sets a positive spiritual tone. The event also included an interactive session, where participants discussed the importance of technological awareness for monitoring children's online activities and the need for fathers to share household responsibilities.
