FESPACO: 6 Tunisian films shortlisted in official competition, Dorra Bouchoucha heads jury

Six Tunisian films were shortlisted in the official competition of the 28th Pan-African Film & TV Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), due February 25-March 4, under the theme: “African Cinema and Culture of Peace.”

The jury of the Official Competition’s Fictional Section will be headed by Tunisian producer Dorra Bouchoucha.

Two Tunisian feature films, namely Youssef Chebbi’s “Ashkal” and Erige Sehiri’s “Under the Fig Trees,” will compete for the Golden Stallion.

Yosr Gasmi’s “Geology of Seperation” will compete in the Documentary Section, Lotfi Achour’s short documentary “Blind Spot” will compete in the FESPACO shorts, Nadia Rais’s “Kendila” was shortlised in the Animation Section and Iheb Abidi’s “Traffic/Chakchouka” in the School films section.
