A few dozen people staged a sit-in Saturday in Tunis in protest against mandatory COVID-19 vaccination and a vaccine pass to access closed spaces and travel.

Protesters chanted slogans against COVID-19 vaccines and questioned their efficiency. They also expressed concern about side effects.

Health Ministry figures show 4,495,433 people were fully vaccinated until October 29.

The Ministry of Communication Technologies announced Friday the launch of vaccine pass service on the national vaccination platform EVAX, in accordance with decree- law no. 1 dated October 22, 2021.
