Accra: Fidelity Bank Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility with a donation to the New Horizon Special School, marking over a decade of continuous support for the institution. Led by the bank's Customer Experience department, a team from Fidelity Bank visited the school, spending time with students and management, while sharing moments of joy and encouragement.

According to Ghana News Agency, as part of its support, the bank donated GHS 20,000 to assist the school in acquiring essential resources to enhance learning for its students. Additionally, 200 chocolates were distributed to mark National Chocolate Day, underscoring Ghana's rich cocoa heritage. Ms Comfort Armoo, Head of Customer Experience at Fidelity Bank, stated that the initiative reflected the bank's commitment to community engagement beyond financial services.

Ms Armoo emphasized that Fidelity Bank's approach is not solely about financial transactions, but also about understanding and contributing to the needs of the community. She expressed the bank's honor in maintaining the relationship with New Horizon Special School for over a decade and their commitment to supporting the institution.

Mrs Sylvia Fran§ois, Board Chair of New Horizon Special School, conveyed her appreciation for Fidelity Bank's consistent support. She highlighted the bank's dedication as a beacon of hope and support for the students, noting that their financial contributions have significantly improved the school's facilities and provided vital resources.

The initiative is part of Fidelity Bank's broader outreach efforts. As a gesture of appreciation, customers at its branches nationwide were surprised with chocolates. The bank's Hohoe Postbank branch extended the initiative to the Volta School for the Deaf and Blind in the Oti Region, distributing chocolates to students and staff.

While National Chocolate Day, observed annually on February 14, celebrates Ghana's cocoa industry, Fidelity Bank's gesture extended beyond the occasion, reinforcing its commitment to fostering human connection and strengthening community bonds.
