The first cruise ship will dock at the La Goulette port on March 23, 2022, after a two-year suspension, announced the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
The Ministry expects the arrival of 38 cruise ships in case of improvement of the health situation globally and nationally, it added in a statement Monday.
The return of cruise activity and preparations for this return were discussed at a working session held Monday under the chairmanship of Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mohamed Moez Belhassine and attended by President of the National Chamber of Tourist Transport Slim Ben Jaballah.
Cruise ship “Amira” had docked at the port of La Goulette on November 14, 2019. It was carrying 1090 passengers, including 646 German tourists.
