First phase of “Forum on Environmental Governance”, ends

The first phase of the Forum on Environmental Governance concluded on Friday by training session in communication.

This phase kicked off in July 2017 in Souk Lahad (Kebili governorate) at the initiative of the Environmentalists Association in collaboration with the European Endowment for Democracy (EED).

The project aims to train the region’s youths and associative activists in matters of environment promotion, sustainable development, environmental diagnosis, communication and report drafting.

It further aims to train the youths to act within society, to be able to meet local issues and the populations’ concerns and to contribute to finding solutions.

Several agreements for promoting the environmental culture among youths were inked as part of this project, notably with the Regional Commission to Education so as to organise training session in primary and secondary schools.

The (EED) is an independent grant-giving organisation that supports actors of democratic change in the European Neighbourhood and beyond.
