First return flight of Tunisian pilgrims due on Wednesday (OACA)

The official delegation of Tunisian pilgrims will arrive at Tunis-Carthage International Airport on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, on board the first return flight from the holy places, a statement announced Tuesday at the Tunisian Civil Aviation and Airports Authority (OACA).

The plane from Jeddah will land at 6 p.m. at Terminal II of Tunis Carthage Airport. The return flights of the pilgrims, numbering 10,804, will continue until September 21, 2017.

In a statement to TAP, Samir Ben Nassib, official at the Religious Affairs Ministry, announced the death of four Tunisian pilgrims, adding that no missing was recorded. Tunisian pilgrims have faced several difficulties in carrying out the pilgrimage rites, he said.

He added that the space reserved by the Saudi authorities for the Tunisian pilgrims in Mina was small and could not contain all the pilgrims. These problems concern not only the Tunisian pilgrims but all other delegations.

According to the official, the Saudi authorities were forced to reduce the space reserved for the various delegations of pilgrims given the small size of the places and the ever increasing number of pilgrims.
