FirstBank Ghana Engages with National Chief Imam to Support National Maulid Celebrations

Accra: In a significant community engagement move, FirstBank Ghana's leadership met with the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, at his residence in Accra. The meeting aimed to introduce the Bank's new executives and discuss support for the 2024 National Maulid celebrations, a key event in Ghana's Islamic community commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad. According to Ghana News Agency, the FirstBank delegation, led by Allen Quaye, Head of Retail Banking, included senior executives such as Hussein Batoure Abubakar, Jamila Munkaila, Iddrisu Mutawakil, Stephen Amponsah, and Enoch Vanderpuye. The team expressed the Bank's commitment to fostering community ties and supporting events that enhance social cohesion and religious harmony in Ghana. During the visit, Allen Quaye emphasized the importance of the Maulid celebrations in promoting unity and cultural heritage. "We are honoured to have this opportunity to meet with the National Chief Imam and express our support for the upcoming National M aulid celebrations," Quaye stated. "FirstBank is dedicated to being a partner in the development of our communities, and we believe that supporting such events fosters harmony and celebrates the rich cultural diversity that defines us as Ghanaians."
