Foreign Minister and French counterpart co-chair signing ceremony of five co-operation agreements

Five partnership and cooperation agreements between Tunisia and France were signed Thursday afternoon in Tunis, during a ceremony co-chaired by Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian .

Here is the list of agreements concluded:

– Memorandum for a strategic dialogue in the economic and development fields between the Tunisian State and the French Development Agency (AFD);

– Letter of Intent on Supporting the Energy Transition;

– Declaration of common interests between the Tunisian government and the Airbus company;

– Partnership Agreement between France Strategie (Commissariat general A� la strategie et A� la prospective) and the Economic Analysis Council of Tunisia;

– Framework agreement between the Ecole nationale d’administration of Tunis and the University Paris-Dauphine;

Messrs. Khemaies Jhinaoui and Jean-Yves Le Drian had talk earlier during which they reviewed “the evolution of Tunisian-French bilateral relations and the prospects for their development,” according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting between the two ministers comes on the occasion of the two-day state visit (31 January-1 February) of French President Emmanuel Macron to Tunisia, at the invitation of President Beji CaA�d Essebsi.
