Forest fires: four held in custody over arson in Jendouba

Four people were held in custody Thursday over a fire that ripped through a state forest in Jendouba.

Investigations are underway, the Interior Ministry said. The National Guard opened an inquiry in the wake of a wave of fires in the stricken governorate to uncover the identity of those involved.

The public prosecutor ordered Thursday two people to be kept in custody and brought to justice over arson, the Interior Ministry reminded in a press release.

The fire erupted on July 11 in the state forest of Ain Rtiba, Ghardimaou (Jendouba).
