Foundation Renovates Kamampa CHPS Compound, Donates Motorbike

Kamampa: A non-governmental organization, Agyenim Boateng Foundation, has rehabilitated the Kamampa Community-based Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region. The foundation, which works to improve the livelihoods of the marginalized in society, also donated a motorbike and Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to the health workers at the facility.

According to Ghana News Agency, speaking at a short ceremony held at Kamampa, a yam growing community, Mr. Agyenim Boateng, a native of the community and the founder of the foundation, said the dilapidated condition of the facility moved the foundation to undertake the renovation work. That, he added, would greatly improve the healthcare delivery services and thereby meet the health needs of the growing population in the area.

Mr. Boateng, also the Deputy Bono East Regional Youth Organizer of NDC, stressed that the foundation was poised to bring the development of the community to the next level. He said the District Assembly alone could not shoulder the responsibility of tackling the development shortfall in the area.

Mr. Haruna Seidu, the Pru West District Director of Health, thanked the foundation for the support and appealed for more support to improve quality healthcare delivery in the district. He said the District had plans to upgrade the facility into a health center and called on the people to support and contribute their widow's mite towards the upgrade.

Nana Kwame Wande II, the Chief of Kamampa, expressed appreciation to the foundation for the assistance and urged the health workers to maintain the facility.
