Four-member Takfiri cell broken up in Tabarka

A four-member Takfiri cell was broken up on Saturday by the research unit of the National Guard of Tabarka, governorate of Jendouba.

Members of the cell, aged between 21 and 35, admitted to being “followers of the Takfiri current, attracting youth to the Takfiri ideology on social media and promoting terrorism,” the Interior Ministry said in a press release Monday.

The Public Prosecutor ordered to place into custody all members of this cell and to initiate a legal investigation against them for “belonging to a terrorist organisation”.
