Dateline: Tema: The July and September Borns of Friends of Tema (FOT), a social organisation of Tema residents, have extended their support to the Mama Happy Life Enhancement Foundation (MAHLEF) and the Tema General Hospital as part of their initiative to improve livelihoods in the area. According to Ghana News Agency, the September Borns contributed various items, including food, drinks, toiletries, clothes, stationery, and water, to MAHLEF located in Tema Newtown. Meanwhile, the July Borns focused their efforts on renovating and refurbishing Consulting Room Eight at the Tema General Hospital. Nana Baffuor Sekyere Bamfo, Ankobeahene of Akyem Abodom and spokesperson for Friends of Tema, explained that the group uses their respective birth months to initiate projects within the Tema community. This long-standing initiative allows them to celebrate their birthdays by giving back to the needy and less privileged in their locality. Nana Kojo Amoako Mensah, Mamfe Mawerehene and a member of Friends of Tema, high lighted that the July Borns recognized the numerous needs of the Tema General Hospital, a key referral hospital in the region. As residents who rely on the hospital for healthcare, they took the initiative to renovate Consulting Room Eight by painting, retiling the roof, and equipping it with modern tables and chairs.
