The local committee to combat natural disasters in Kef, on Friday, decided to extend the full lockdown until July 31 and to maintain all the measures adopted to combat the coronavirus.
This decision was taken following the epidemiological indicators in the region where the number of infections and fatalities are, for some weeks, on the rise with a viral incidence rate of about 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, said Local Health Director Tarek Rajhi.
A work plan has been developed to provide hospital facilities with beds and medical equipment, accelerate vaccination campaigns and ensure the strict application of the lockdown, he told TAP.
