GabAs: GB readiness to carry out university hospital project (ambassador)

Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Tunisia, Louise de Sousa, announced Monday the determination of her country as well as the British group IHG (International Hospitals Group), to carry out the project of university hospital in Gabes.

During a meeting with Governor of GabAs, Mongi Thameur, at her visit to the region, she said that the procedures necessary for the implementation of the project are underway.

The action, she said, is currently focused on resolving issues related to the delay in starting construction of the hospital.

Moreover, the diplomat stresses that efforts are continuing to attract more British tourists to Tunisia and allow them to appreciate the cultural wealth of the interior regions including Gabes. She emphasised will to boost cooperation in the fields of education, higher education, scientific research and technological innovation.

Her visit to Gabes is aimed at boosting win-win investment between the two countries and identifying opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the region, the diplomat said in a statement to media.
