Twenty-one new infections with the coronavirus were recorded in Gabes, out of 62 tests carried out, the Local Health Directorate announced on Thursday.

Of the new positive cases, 15 were detected in South Gabes, 5 in Nouvelle Matmata and one in El Hamma.

The caseload has therefore climbed to 31,957, including 31,456 recoveries.

The incidence rate in the governorate now stands at 125 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, as there are 501 active carriers of the virus in Gabes, 19 of whom are hospitalised.
