Gabes governorate saw the death of two more people of the coronavirus and the infection of 300 others, after publishing the results of 552 tests.

The case tally therefore has increased to 19,923, including 18,759 recoveries and 592 fatalities, coordinator of the monitoring committee at the Local Health Directorate Houcine Jabrane told TAP on Friday.

There are currently 88 patients admitted to the region’s hospitals, including 10 in intensive care.

Prevalence in Gabes dropped to 290 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, according to the same source.
