Gafsa: Photographic exhibition by detainees

A photo exhibition entitled “prison is false” was held Friday in Gafsa prison, in partnership with the regional commission for culture.

On display, 24 works by prisoners who had a three-month photography training session.

Photographer and trainer Aymen Zamali told TAP that detainees get their inspiration from everyday life in prison and contact with the outside world.

The regional commissioner for culture, Hichem Zidi, pointed out that the exhibition is scheduled in different delegations of the governorate of Gafsa, as well as at the Cite de la culture in Tunis, as part of the “Regions Days”.
