GBFA Launches 2025 World Strongman Competition Qualifiers in Accra

ACCRA: The Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA), in partnership with JMK Production LLC from the United States, has announced the launch of the 2025 World Strongman Championship qualifiers in Accra. This initiative opens the door for athletes across Africa to compete on an international stage, offering a platform to showcase their talents to the world. According to Ghana News Agency, George Foster Baffoe, Vice President of the GBFA, stated that the qualifiers are open to the general public and encouraged interested athletes to participate. Baffoe emphasized that the event is a significant opportunity to expand the fitness industry and demonstrate Africa's potential on a global platform. He attributed the success of bringing the qualifiers to Ghana to the efforts of JMK Production, led by Junda Morris, Director of Public Relations for World Strongman. Baffoe highlighted that many African athletes have the potential to compete internationally but lack opportunities. The introduction of these qual ifiers aims to bridge this gap. He also mentioned upcoming local competitions such as Accra Strongest and Teshie Strongest, which provide additional platforms for athletes to demonstrate their strength and skills. Junda Morris expressed gratitude to the GBFA for accepting the collaboration and committed to working closely with them to promote the sport in Ghana and beyond. Christopher Dompo, an athlete, also encouraged his fellow Ghanaian athletes to participate in the qualifiers, noting that the World Strongman competition offers valuable exposure and opportunities for growth.
