Subinso number two: Mrs. Fati Kine-Lam, the Bono Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), has made a public appeal for increased support for victims of the Gbinyiri clash who are currently taking refuge in the region.

According to Ghana News Agency, between 500 and 800 displaced individuals, primarily women, girls, and children, have fled from Gbinyiri and surrounding areas in the Savannah Region. They are now seeking shelter in Subinso Number Two within the Wenchi Municipality. Mrs. Kine-Lam emphasized the urgent need for additional aid from both the public and development partners to adequately care for these victims.

Mrs. Kine-Lam expressed concern over the current conditions of the victims, particularly the children, and highlighted the necessity for immediate humanitarian services. She appealed to the government, security agencies, traditional authorities, and key stakeholders in the Savannah Region to intensify efforts to resolve and prevent further conflict, aiming to establish lasting peace in the area.

In her statement, Mrs. Kine-Lam underscored the importance of peace for national development, stating, "Peace is priceless and the nation requires absolute peace to accelerate development." Following this, the Bono NADMO Office, in collaboration with the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, distributed relief items to support the affected individuals.
