Governor of Siliana and chairman of the Regional Committee for Disaster Control and Relief Organization, Abderrazek Dekhil announced Sunday, in a statement to TAP, the decision to extend by one week, starting today, the general health lockdown in the whole governorate of Siliana due to the seriousness of the epidemiological situation.

He added that the lockdown does not affect the conduct of national examinations and vital sectors, stressing that the curfew schedule will be maintained from 08:00 pm to 05:00 am.

The Regional official also underlined the ban on travel outside the governorate except for urgent cases. He also stressed the ban on all types of events (parties, gatherings …) in addition to the closure of all markets, cafes, baths and restaurants, stressing the need to respect the provisions of the general health lockdown decreed in the region since June 20.

4 cases of Delta variant infection have been detected in Siliana, including two children aged 3 and 11 years.
