Sunyani: The Ghana Water Limited has recognized a group of its customers, institutions, and personnel for their loyalty and dedication during the company's 2025 customer service week celebration. The initiative aims to acknowledge and reward those who have consistently supported the utility service by maintaining prompt payment of water bills.
According to Ghana News Agency, the ceremony saw eleven customers from the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions being honored for their timely payments. Additionally, notable institutions such as the Catholic Diocese, the Bank of Ghana, and the Bono Regional offices of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) and the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) were recognized for their contributions.
A notable recognition was given to Mr. Kofi Djorkpe, a staff member of GWL, for his customer care performance across the first three quarters of 2025. Each honoree received a citation of merit during a forum held in Sunyani, which was organized as part of the customer service week celebrations.
The event, themed 'Mission Possible: Together We Serve, Together We Thrive,' emphasized the importance of customer contributions. Mr. Theophilus Collins, the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regional Chief Manager of GWL, highlighted the significance of acknowledging loyal customers, stating that such recognition serves as motivation for others to follow suit in paying their water bills promptly. He also acknowledged the efforts of partners and regulators in the ongoing endeavor to supply clean water to customers.
One of the awardees, Madam Sarah Adukbire, expressed her gratitude to GWL for the honor. She shared with the media that the recognition had inspired her to continue being a responsible customer.
