Ghanaian Athletes Compete in Africa Kyrogui Championship in Côte D’Ivoire

ABIDJAN — Ghana's national taekwondo team, comprising eight athletes, has touched down in Côte D'Ivoire to participate in the Africa Kyrogui Championship scheduled for November 5-6, 2023. The championship is set to feature a diverse pool of competitors, with 221 athletes from 43 countries vying for top honors in this esteemed event.

According to Ghana News Agency, the team’s trip was supported with a donation of GHS 12,500 and competition Doboks. The athletes embarked on their journey by road on Thursday morning, a move that signifies the country's commitment to the sport. The team, led by coaches Augustus Agbozo and Selorm Fayise, includes three female and five male competitors. The male contingent consists of Addo Benson, Lawrence Twasam, Sama Amed, Sarfo Bernard, and Mohammed Abdul Razak, while Gbedze Kezia, Armah Henrietta, and Max-Voy Marriane represent the female athletes. This championship is a crucial part of their preparation for the upcoming African Games, offering a chance to earn points for better seeding.
