President of Ennahdha movement Rached Ghannouchi urged speaking with one voice when it comes to Tunisia’s foreign policy, warning against contradictory statements.
Ghannouchi stressed the need to give a new image of Tunisia abroad so as to attract investments and garner necessary financial support,” he said.
«Dialogue is the only way to overcome the economic and social crises in the country,» Ghannouchi said during the 40th anniversary of Ennahdha movement held Saturday in Tunis. Political stability is key to ensuring economic recovery, he added.
Ennahdha backs the initiative of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) which called for launching a national dialogue bringing together all political parties under the patronage of President of the Republic Kais Saied.
Ennahdha President pointed out that “the country’s indebtedness caused by overconsumption is one of the reasons behind the current economic and social crisis”.
It is the responsibility of political leaders, the Tunisian elite and the opposition to make the necessary decisions and break the deadlock, he underscored.
