President of Ennahdha movement Rached Ghannouchi has been kept at liberty by order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, after he appeared Wednesday before the brigade of the National Guard in El Aouina.
Ghannouchi was heard following a complaint filed by a police union, said Sami Triki, one of his lawyers.
The complaint follows previous remarks by Ghannouchi, in which he verbally abused a police officer belonging to the same union, Triki told TAP.
Ghannouchi’s lawyer said he had testified before the central brigade of the National Guard in El Aouina, adding his client «is still at liberty.»
