Global Evangelical Church and Compassion International Ghana Enhance Education with Significant Furniture Donation in Volta Region

ADIDOME: Reverend Israel Kwasi Ahalie, Pastor of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC) in Adidome, has highlighted the critical role of partnership in community development, recognizing the collaboration with Compassion International Ghana as a key factor in improving local education facilities. The partnership recently facilitated the donation of GHC72,925 worth of educational furniture to 10 Basic Schools in Adidome and Awakpedome, enhancing the learning environment for students. According to Ghana News Agency, the furniture distribution ceremony saw the handover of 190 dual desks, 11 office tables, and 11 chairs. Rev. Ahalie praised Compassion International Ghana for their financial support, which made the acquisition of these essential items possible. He emphasized the importance of the furniture in addressing the current deficits in school facilities and creating a more conducive environment for both teaching and learning. Rev. Ahalie also encouraged the beneficiary schools to take good care of the furni ture to ensure its longevity and continued service to the students. He reaffirmed the Church's commitment to supporting community needs through various initiatives, including the construction of schools and the provision of essential resources. The schools that benefited from this initiative include Global Primary, Global JHS, EP Primary, EP JHS, Methodist Primary, Methodist JHS, D/A Primary, D/A JHS, R.C Primary, R.C. JHS, and Awakpedome Primary. This contribution is part of a broader effort by the Church and its partners to foster educational development and community growth. Mr. Christian Dziwornu, Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service in the Central Tongu district, commended the church's continuous efforts to promote quality education. He called on all stakeholders to support the district's schools in equipping them adequately to further enhance the educational atmosphere for students.
