Tarkwa: Gold Fields Ghana Foundation (GFGF) has made a significant contribution to the Tarkwa Technical Institute (TTI) and the Aboso Health Center by donating fifteen desktop computers along with necessary accessories. This donation aims to enhance digital learning and healthcare services in the Tarkwa Nsuaem and Prestea Huni-Valley Municipalities. According to Ghana News Agency, the donation includes ten desktop computers for the Tarkwa Technical Institute, received by the Principal, Madam Helen Asmah. These computers are expected to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) concepts, equipping them with essential skills for the digital age. Meanwhile, the Aboso Health Center received five desktop computers with accessories, along with a connection to Starlink internet to improve patient care and operational efficiency. During the presentation, Madam Sandra Deladem Woanyah, the Project Manager for GFGF, stated that the total cost of the donation, in cluding the internet connectivity, exceeded GHS200,000.00. She mentioned that the donation was in response to requests from the management of TTI and the Aboso Health Center. Emphasizing the Foundation's focus on education and health, Madam Woanyah highlighted the importance of ICT in modern education and the shift towards digital records in healthcare. Madam Helen Asmah expressed gratitude on behalf of TTI, assuring the Foundation that the computers would be used for their intended purpose and maintained for future generations. Furthermore, Mr. David Kofi Asomdwe Agonoprh, the Assembly member of Senyakrom Electoral Area, urged more institutions and individuals to join GFGF in supporting education and health in the municipalities.
