Government delegation visits areas devastated by fires in Jendouba

The ministers of National Defence, Interior and Public Works, Housing and Spatial Planning, on Wednesday, visited the regions hit by the wave of fires in the Jendouba governorate.

They went to Khmeiria, Mouaisia and Brahmia as well as Hammam Bourguiba in Ain Draham delegation where they inquired about efforts to contain the fire and evacuate the affected families.

Members of the government learned about the concerns of the residents and their difficult social conditions.

The latter called for compensation for the losses suffered and the re-development of the road linking Khmairia to Hammam Bourguiba over a distance of 6 km, in addition to improving the health, education and transport services.

Since Monday, military units have been evacuating families hit by the fires that broke out in forest regions and to support the efforts of the civil protection to contain the fire.
