The new government lineup will be announced in the coming hours, President Kais Saied said as he met acting Interior Minister Ridha Gharsalloui Saturday at Carthage Palace.

He added that the upcoming events will be announced as part of the dialogue that will be established with the Tunisian people and representatives of youth, particularly in the regions.

The President of the Republic criticised “those who plot against Tunisia to settle accounts with the head of state, considering that the people who demonstrated today in Paris to compromise the Summit of the Francophonie «embody the idea of colonialism.»

President Kais Saied denounced the calls on foreign countries to interfere in local affairs, alluding to the demonstration led by former President Moncef Marzouki.

In addition, the head of state praised the efforts made by Ridha Gharsallaoui in this pivotal stage in the history of Tunisia, as well as those made by the security forces to maintain order and preserve rights and freedoms.
